PANCREATITISInflammation of pancreas is known as pancreatitis and main cause of pancreatitis due to heavy alcohol consumption and gallstones. Symptoms of pancreatitis are Upper abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. It is mainly two types those are acute pancreatitis and chronic pancreatitis. Acute pancreatitis is sudden and short term inflammation of pancreas, chronic pancreatitis is a long-standing inflammation of the pancreas.
Smoking induces risk in both the cases, chronic pancreatitis is may leads to pancreatic cancer. Acute pancreatitis is diagnosed by blood level of digestive enzymes those are amylase and lipase.
FIBROSIS Cystic fibrosis is also known as mucoviscidosis, it is an inherited disorder. Cystic fibrosis mainly affects the lungs and digestive systems. It cause due to mutation of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene. Symptoms of cystic fibrosis are Breathlessness, persistent cough, repeated lung infections, Poor growth, Male infertility, severe constipation.
